USWNT defeats Korea Republic 3-0 in friendly
Yohannes scores in debut
Goals from Rapinoe and Heath seal the victory
The United States Women's National Team (USWNT) defeated Korea Republic 3-0 in a friendly match on Tuesday night at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado.
Yohannes, who made her national team debut, scored the opening goal in the 16th minute. Rapinoe doubled the lead in the 34th minute, and Heath added a third goal in the 82nd minute.
The USWNT controlled the match from the start, outshooting Korea Republic 16-4 and holding possession for 60% of the game.
The win was the USWNT's second in as many games against Korea Republic. The two teams will meet again on June 9 in Cincinnati.
